Terms of Use
Last updated July 29, 2026
These terms govern your use of SnapLive, the interactive virtual photo booth operated by o!8studio at live events, along with its booth, kiosk, and performer interfaces. By stepping up to a booth and starting a session, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the booth — booth staff will be happy to explain your options.
1. What the service is
SnapLive connects a guest at a physical booth to a remote performer over live video, captures a still photograph of that session, and produces a printed and/or digital copy. Sessions are short, supervised by on-site staff, and offered as event entertainment.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use a booth on your own. Guests under 18 may participate with a parent or guardian present who consents to the session and the photograph. Booth staff may decline a session where consent is unclear.
3. Acceptable use
While using a booth, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, demean, or sexually proposition the performer or booth staff.
- Expose yourself, display obscene material, or otherwise behave in a way inappropriate for a public event space.
- Record, screenshot, stream, or otherwise capture the performer’s video or audio feed by any means other than the photograph the booth produces for you.
- Attempt to access the booth, kiosk, performer, or administrative interfaces, to interfere with the equipment or event network, or to circumvent shift codes, station keys, or download tokens.
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or in violation of venue or event rules.
Staff may end any session immediately and without refund if these rules are broken. Serious conduct will be referred to venue security.
4. Your photograph
You keep all rights to your own likeness. We claim no ownership of it. You grant o!8studio a limited, non-exclusive license to process, composite, print, store, and deliver your photograph solely to produce and hand you your copy, as described in the Privacy Policy. That license ends when the image is deleted.
We will not publish, market with, or otherwise publicly use your photograph without your separate, explicit permission given at the booth.
5. Our content
The SnapLive software, its interfaces, photo frames, overlays, stickers, backgrounds, and event branding, and the performers’ characters and avatars, are owned by o!8studio or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Your finished photograph is yours to keep, share, and post. The assets themselves are not licensed for separate reuse, resale, or redistribution.
6. Third-party services
Live video sessions are carried over Zoom’s Video SDK and Meeting SDK. Your use of that video connection is additionally subject to Zoom’s own terms of service and privacy policy. o!8studio is not responsible for the availability or performance of Zoom or of any other third-party network, venue Wi-Fi, or cloud provider.
7. Availability and event conditions
Booths run on live event infrastructure. Sessions may be shortened, paused, rescheduled, or cancelled because of network problems, hardware or printer faults, performer availability, queue length, or venue instruction. We aim to give every guest a completed photo, but we cannot guarantee a specific performer, wait time, session length, print, or that a printed copy will be free of defects.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, o!8studio disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any photograph will be preserved or recoverable after its download link expires.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, o!8studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost photographs, arising out of your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to use the booth, or 100 USD, whichever is greater. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless o!8studio, its staff, and its performers from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of anyone else’s rights.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the courts located there, except where applicable consumer law grants you the right to bring a claim locally.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. The revised version takes effect when posted on this page with an updated date above, and applies to sessions from that point forward.
